Dilapidation Inspection
A dilapidation inspection is carried out by experienced building inspectors and are generally of a visual nature, with all fixtures and finishes remaining in place. The inspector thoroughly assesses and records the current condition of the property including any existing damage, highlighting areas that are likely to be affected by nearby works.
Dilapidation and Comparison Report
The dilapidation and comparison report typically includes notes, measurements, photographs and diagrams which give an accurate picture of the state of the building being inspected. If there has been a change in the condition of the property during the works period and/or after the completion of the works you should contact us to re-inspect and document the extent of change that has occurred. This report is very useful should there be changes over the construction period and can save you thousands in the long run.

Why do I need a Dilapidation and Comparison Report?
Any construction and demolition work always requires the use of heavy machinery and equipment. This can sometimes involve some major changes to the site it’s being carried out on such as removal of a lot of earth/soil, existing concrete slabs or footings, trees and knocking down existing structures.
This sort of work has the potential to cause damage to adjacent houses and nearby infrastructure.
A dilapidation report documents the condition of a property at a given point in time. We document any existing damage, and the state of any aspects of the property that could be affected by nearby demolition, construction or excavation.
